Chalong Temple

Sure, Phuket is well known for beaches, nightlife, hotels, seafood, shopping, holiday packages and so on, but let us not forget that Phuket was on the map before any tourists arrived. In fact, Phuket has a long and varied history, and the population reflects Phuket’s location at the junction of Malaysia and China. All over the island are Buddhist Temples (Wats), Chinese Shrines and also plenty of Mosques. Even a Christian church or 2. I am a big fan of temples, so on my Jamie’s Phuket Blog, I am trying (bit by bit) to blog all the temples in Phuket.

I started a weather page some years ago at work (see Sunrise Divers Weather Page) mainly as an attempt to bust the myth that the low season was 6 months of rain. I wanted to show how much good weather you can get in Phuket year round.
